This is a maharashtrian
peasant recipe. It is very, very hot and I do not recommend it if you are not
used to eating chillies and peppers. Even my fiancé can’t handle it. any who,
this recipe has very little ingredients and is cheap to make. Once made it
easily keeps for at least 3 days. More if refrigerated.
Ingredients:-
- Green chillies
- Garlic
- Salt
- Oil
Preparation:-
·
Take
4-5 green chillies and around 6-7 cloves of garlic and roughly grind them in a
mixer.
·
Heat
oil in a pan and add the mixture to it.
·
Sauté
for about 2 mins and add salt to taste
·
Serve
with jowar/ bajra roti(bhakri) or dal-rice
Note: while
grinding the chillies and garlic you can add groundnuts to the mixture. Then in
pan heat oil, add mustard seed and after they crackle add the mixture. Sauté
till brown and crispy. This thecha keeps longer and does not need
refrigeration.
