Ingredients:-

large potatoes

3
roughly chopped red or green chillies
·
1
large chopped onion
·
Salt
·
1
tablespoon mustard seeds
·
1
tablespoon cumin seeds/jeera
·
Oil
·
Finely
chopped coriander
·
Asafoetida
·
Turmeric
powder
Preparation:-
·
Boil
the potatoes until they are soft. Peel them and chop them roughly into pieces.
·
In
a wok, heat oil. Add mustard and cumin seeds to it and let them crackle. Add a
pinch of asafoetida. Make sure the flame is low otherwise asafoetida may burn.
·
Add
the chopped onion and sauté till it changes colour.
·
Add
chopped chillies and a pinch of turmeric powder.
·
Add
the chopped potatoes and stir till they turn yellow.
·
Keep
the lid on for about 2 minutes.
·
Garnish
with the chopped coriander and serve hot with rotis or puris.
